Daniel HDR was first published in comics in 1988, at the young age of 14, by doing illustrations for comic books that offered space for reader submitted art. Soon, Daniel began working as an illustrator for professional publishing houses such as Press, D’Arte and others.
Daniel made his debut in the American comics market in 1995, first working for Image Comics, and after that, for Marvel Comics, and then for Dark Horse. For the latter, Daniel developed the official adaptation for the animated series “Digimon” Digital Monsters.
In 2006, Daniel began working at Avatar Press on “the Texas Chainsaw Massacre” Mini-Series, which was nominated as “Best Screen-to-Comic Adaptation”, by the TV SCREAM AWARDS for Spike TV. Daniel is best known for his more recent work for Avatar as the cover artist on many of their most popular titles, such as "Lady Death", "the Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "Midieval Lady Death", "Belladonna" and others.
Daniel has also worked as an advertising artist, developing various works as illustrator for sales and ad campaigns, and is also currently working doing storyboards for cinema and TV.
Since 1994, Daniel has worked as a teacher, instructing classes on illustration and comic book creation.
