Born in Ilha Bela, a gorgeous city on the coast of Brazil in 1979, Amílcar PINNA developed a early taste for art and comics when he was a very young.

In 1999 Amilcar came to the big city of São Paulo to study art at the prestigious Quanta Academia de Artes, run by famous inker and comic artist Marc Campos. At Quanta  he studied under some great artists such as Roger Cruz, Renato Guedes, Eduardo Ferrara, Davi Calil and Edde Wagner just to name a few.  Amilcar was a quick study and soon was drawing with great skill.

From this point on Amílcar was eager to work and get his break in the art industry, and to get his opportunity he was willing to do a little bit of everything including advertising, editorial illustration, and storyboards.

Amílcar’s work recently caught the eye of editors at Marvel Comics and was given the chance to work with his mentor Roger Cruz on "X-Men First Class: Finals" and also on "Marvel Super-Heroes Adventures".
