Private use commission rates are below. Jay's wait time for commissions is approximately 6 to 8 weeks. Inking commissions are done over original pencils or can be done over "blue line" copies for slightly more.
The artist retains all rights to private commissions.

Inking Commissions

A) $120 11x14 inked single character convention style sketches
B) $180 11x17 inked single character, w/ min. backgrounds
C) $220 11x17 inked single character, w/ backgrounds
D) $260 11x17 inked single or multiple characters w/ detailed backgrounds
E) $320 11x17 inked cover art over pencils or blue line

Jay's wait time for original art commissions is approximately 8 to 10 weeks. Original Art Commissions are done over original pencils created by Jay.

+ $20 flat rate shipping within the continental United States, securely packaged. Insurance is not required but is recommended for higher dollar pieces.*

Jay LEISTEN, grew up in the "Biggest Little City" in America: Louisville, (pronounced Lou-a-vul) Kentucky. Jay began his professional comic career in 1996 working on several titles for Marc Silvestri head of Top Cow for Image Comics, such as "Darkness" and "Tombraider" under the watchful eye and tutelege of Jason Gorder and Joe Weems. From 1996 through 2001, Jay worked on a number of Image titles along with several independant publishers. Then in 2002 Jay began a wonderful run with Greg Land on the all too short lived "Sojourn" for Crossgen Comics. Since that time Jay has worked with some of the industries best known and respected artists, such as Matt Clark, Eric Basaldua, Greg Tocchini, Joe Bennett, Michael Broussard and Gary Frank.
Jay's work can be currently seen on or in a veritible plethora of top Marvel titles, such as "Ultimate Power", "X-Men: Legacy", "Marvel Adventures" and "She-Hulk" just to name a few.
